Dental Implants Saved the Day

My wife looked up dentists reviews for Denver online because I was in too much pain to do so. The reason? I play in a softball league on the weekends, work related, and during our latest game I wasn’t paying attention while I was working second base and didn’t see someone hit a straight line shot to me. Just as I turned my head to the ping of the bat, the softball hit me square in the mouth. It knocked me right to the ground and I knew immediately I was in big trouble.

I could fell my mouth fill with blood and I felt teeth floating. I spit out a mouthful of blood and sure enough I saw my two front teeth on the ground. Just the sight of it nearly made me pass out. Obviously the game ground to a stop as I was helped off the field. My boss panicked when he saw what happened and sent me straight home with my wife. She did the searching online while I sat in a chair holding an ice pack on my face. I really didn’t know what was going to happen. I had visions of me with no teeth trying to talk.

Fortunately the wife found a clinic that was willing to see me the very next morning. I had to slink into the office with a scarf covering my mouth because it was just too hideous of a sight. We brought the teeth too, in a glass of milk, but the dentist said there was too much bone damage to put them back in. He suggested dental implants and I readily agreed. He did a marvelous job doing a bone graft and, although I had to wear a partial denture for several months, the implants took root right away. Thank goodness for dental miracles!
